چکیده
To protect natural resources and avoid environmental pollution, an effective method is proposed to recover tin (Sn) from waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs). In order realize the efficient recovery of Sn, it necessary study effects experimental parameters on Sn leaching understand kinetics processes. The statistical mathematical technique (response surface methodology (RSM)) was used interactions rate optimize parameters. Moreover, a comprehensive understanding in hydrochloric acid solution obtained. results show that maximum 97.6% which obtained under following optimal condition: 74.1 °C, 4.94 mol/L HCl, 495.5 rpm, solid–liquid ratio 0.08 g/mL. mechanism controlled by mixed control reaction with activation energy 20.3 kJ/mol. A macroscopic kinetic equation also established, summarizes relationships between rates can predict results. pregnant leach recovered as stannic oxide (SnO2) precipitation-high temperature calcining technique. this paper, complete flowsheet for WPCBs developed.

Leaching studies for metals recovery from printed circuit boards scrap
In this paper, the leaching behavior of the major metals present in printed circuit boards waste is evaluated, aiming at its recycling by hydrometallurgy. Several leachants were compared (sulfuric, hydrochloric and nitric acids, at 2 M H concentration), at temperatures of 25oC and 90oC and 4 hours of reaction time. Sulfuric acid leaching was not very promising concerning metals dissolution bein...
متن کاملRecovery of Tin and Copper by Recycling of Printed Circuit Boards from Obsolete Computers
This paper presents the experimental results for the leaching of printed circuit boards (PCB) from obsolete computers for extracting and recovering tin and copper by means of leaching followed by precipitation. Printed circuit boards were dismantled, cut into small pieces, and fed into a cylinder mill. The powder obtained was leached by using the aqueous solutions 2.18N H2SO4, 2.18N H2SO4 + 3.0...

This study aims to understand the acid-leaching behavior of metals from 2 to 4 mm waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) containing 22.0% ± 1.1 Cu, 6.7% ± 0.2 Ca, 0.68% ± 0.02 Sn, 0.59 ± 0.01 % Pb, 2.71% ± 0.08 Al, 0.22% ± 0.01 Fe, etc.. Copper leaching was increased for sulfuric acid concentrations up to 1.2 mol/L and hydrogen peroxide concentrations of 10.0 vol% for a pulp density of 100 g/L at...
متن کاملLeaching of Gold from the Waste Mobile Phone Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) with Ammonium Thiosulphate
The rapid growth in the use of electronic equipments, combined with early obsolescence has contributed enormously to the generation of large quantity of electronic (e) waste. One such e-waste, the mobile phone printed circuit boards (PCBs) contain various precious metals which can be extracted by different hydrometallurgical routes. The present work deals with the recovery of gold using ammoniu...
متن کاملRecovery of Gold, Silver, Copper and Niobium from Printed Circuit Boards Using Leaching Column Technique
Nowadays, over 300 tons of Au are used in electronic equipment each year with other precious and strategic metals such as Ag, Pt, Pd, Cu, Nb, Ta, etc.. After the use-phase, the electronic devices become electronic waste (e-waste); consequently it is important to consider e-waste as a secondary supply for the recovery of these metals. This paper presents the recovery of Au, Ag, Cu and Nb from PC...
